Bio:
Emily Kennedy, a Canadian-trained Registered Holistic Nutritionist, serves patients as both a Health Coach and a Fertility Educator at Reply. Ms. Kennedy previously has served as a nutrition consultant, researcher, and writer for several leading dietitians, chiropractors, naturopathic doctors, and conventional physicians in the Greater Toronto Area. She has more than 10 years’ experience in the nutrition industry and is passionate about helping individuals realize their health and wellness goals.
Ms. Kennedy’s professional interests include pre-conception health, heart disease, diabetes risk factor modification, and the use of functional foods to optimize balance of estrogen and progesterone levels. Her interest in fertility awareness stems from working with a high percentage of women with PCOS (Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome) in her weight management practice. She also is a personal user of fertility awareness for natural family planning and health monitoring purposes and is trained in several evidence-based methods of natural family planning.
Ms. Kennedy originally is from Toronto, Canada, where she completed a Nutritional Science mentorship at the University of Toronto before obtaining her Baccalaureate in Foods & Nutrition, and a thesis-based Master’s from the University of Western Ontario specializing in heart disease risk factors, the Mediterranean diet, and physical fitness. She became certified to teach the Billings Ovulation Method® in 2018. In her free time, she enjoys listening to and playing jazz and classical music, and hiking and biking with her husband and two sons.
