Bio:
DiAnn Ecret joined the National Catholic Bioethics Center in 2016. She is a staff ethicist, nurse planner and full time Assistant Professor of Nursing at Ave Maria University, teaching undergraduate nursing.
DiAnn graduated from Our Lady of Lourdes School of Nursing in 1987, completed her BSN and MSN from Wilmington University, and obtained her MA certification in theology/ethics from Villanova University.
She earned her Ph.D. in Health Care Ethics at Duquesne University in Pittsburgh. Diann has 35 years of combined nursing experience in adult, pediatric, and neonatal critical care nursing, nursing management, and nursing education.
She is on the Health Care Task Force at Life Perspectives, serves as a member of the President’s Bioethics Committee at the University of Mary of Minnesota, and volunteers as an ethics consultant for Be Not Afraid.
She is married to her husband Mike for 35 years, with 4 children and 3 grandchildren.
